FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
Our clinic is a concierge, physician-led practice located in Simsbury, CT. In-office services and therapies are self-pay to ensure direct access, longer visits, more options, higher quality treatments and faster scheduling. If surgery is needed, our team will review options and help you understand your options including selected insurance participation.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions including knee pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, hip pain, sports injuries, tendon and ligament injuries, arthritis, joint pain, overuse injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal pain. We also provide second opinions and surgical decision guidance.
Can you help me avoid surgery?
Yes! A major focus of our practice is identifying the most effective non-surgical path first when appropriate. We combine expert diagnosis with evidence-based non-operative treatments, regenerative Orthobiologics, and recovery therapies to help patients heal and return to activity.
How is your clinic different from a traditional orthopedic practice?
Traditional orthopedic care is rushed and insurance driven. Our model offers same day or same week access when possible, longer more valuable visits with Dr. Ziegler directly and not a random provider, direct communication, and an integrated recovery plan that may include regenerative therapies, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red light therapy, orthopedic laser therapy, and personalized wellness and rehab guidance.
Do you offer second opinions?
Yes. We provide orthopedic second opinions for patients who want clarity on diagnosis, imaging, treatment options, and whether surgery is truly necessary. We specialize in unbiased guidance because we offer both non-surgical and surgical solutions.
What is regenerative orthobiologics?
Regenerative biologics focuses on supporting the body’s natural healing processes to reduce pain and improve function in joints, tendons, and ligaments. Treatments may include biologic or regenerative approaches including Bone Marrow Aspirate (BMA) and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), guided by your diagnosis and clinical goals.
What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), and why do you offer it?
HBOT involves breathing near 100% oxygen in a pressurized chamber to increase oxygen delivery to tissues. It is used to support tissue healing, recovery, inflammation reduction, and post-injury/post-operative optimization as part of a physician-directed plan. We also offer it as a stand-alone biohacking therapy for health and wellness focused clients.
What is full-body red light therapy used for?
Full-body red light therapy helps reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and support cellular energy production. We integrate it into personalized orthopedic recovery and performance pathways. We also offer it as a stand-alone biohacking therapy for health and wellness focused clients.
What is orthopedic laser therapy?
Near infrared laser therapy is a medical-grade, non-invasive treatment that delivers targeted light energy deep into tissue to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and accelerate healing. It is commonly used for tendon, ligament, joint, and muscle injuries, as well as post-injury and post-operative recovery.
How many sessions will I need (HBOT, Red light, Laser)?
The number of sessions depends on your condition, goals, and healing response. Some patients experience improvement quickly, while others benefit from a structured plan over several weeks. Your physician will outline a clear protocol after evaluation.
